Jayson Heath
Jayson Heath has a heart for discipleship. He graduated Birmingham Metro Master’s Commission in 1999 and then began inner city outreach in Birmingham, Alabama. He began the Birmingham Dream Center in 2000, which ministered in area schools and won, Partner in Education of the Year. Since then mentoring young men and women to love and serve God with a pure and whole heart, and training them to feel the heart beat of Christ, loving and caring for a dying generation has been one of his number one goals. To know God and make Him known. Also a graduate of Birmingham Metro Master’s Commission, discipleship and ministry training for the gospel is close to Cori’s heart. ”Words can be forgotten, but an image can last a lifetime.” The power of images and music in this culture is obvious everywhere you turn in today’s society. The world has taken a biblical principle that came from God first in Ezekiel 4 when he uses drama to illustrate a warning to the people of Israel. Also in the gospels, Jesus uses parables to give people a visual of the truth. By not changing the message, just adapting the median, drama and illustrations are one of the tools Cori uses to teach and preach the gospel.Pastors Jayson and Cori Heath became the Student Ministries Pastors at The Assembly in the summer of 2009. Since then they have strived to reach out to the lost and mentor the youth towars a deep relationship with Christ. Every Wednesday night at 6:30pm, and once a month on Saturdays, Pastors Jayson and Cori Heath teach students the Word of God, and see incredible changes and impact in each of their lives. They have two daughters, Makae and Ella Rose Heath, and live in West Monroe.
