Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. (Acts 26:19-20)

Paul’s vision on the road to Damascus became the captivating force behind his success. There is untold power in the force of vision! In my travels all over the world, I have discovered there is one key element that makes or breaks businesses and ministries, VISION!

I have watched vision build the largest businesses and ministries in the most desolate places of the earth. Where there is vision there is life.  Where there is no vision there is death! Vision is everything for the leader.  In fact, it is vision that must lead the leader. It paints the targets, sparks and fuels the fire within, and moves every successful organization forward. Vision is the fire-lighter for followers. A person without vision is a person headed nowhere…just traveling in circles.

Like Paul’s Damascus Road experience, when you have vision it accomplishes several things:

1. It STOPPED him – Vision allows us to see ourselves. We all see things not as they are, but as we are. Vision stops us from heading in the wrong direction.
2. It SENT him – Vision allows us to see others. It creates in us a compassion that compels us to act.
3. It STRENGTHENED him – Vision enables us to continue despite the hardships, persecutions or set-backs.
4. It STRETCHED him – Vision gives us an unmovable conviction to stand, speak confidently and share compassionately.
5. It SATISFIED him -  Accomplishing the vision that God has placed on my heart is the only thing in which I have found true fulfillment..It is the ultimate motivator!

If God has given you a vision, move toward it! Always remember: VISION WITHOUT ACTION IS NOTHING MORE THAN A DAYDREAM. ACTION WITHOUT VISION IS A PITIFUL WASTE OF TIME; BUT, WHEN ACTION TEAMS UP WITH VISION, SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY IS BOUND TO HAPPEN!
